The Bay Area Machine Learning Symposium is an annual gathering of machine learning scientists from the San Francisco Bay Area. While it promotes community building and technical discussions between local researchers from academic and industrial institutions, it also welcomes visitors. This one-day event combines invited talks, contributed talks and posters to foster the exchange of ideas.
To attend BayLearn 2018, you will need to use the free shuttle transportation service arranged by Facebook.
Facebook and the City of Menlo Park have an agreement called a "trip cap," which counts the number of vehicles that come in and out of campus every day. It's critical that Facebook stays compliant with this agreement. To stay compliant, Facebook has arranged shuttle transportation for Baylearn attendees for arrival and departures. Please select the shuttle stop you plan to use on October 11, so Facebook can plan accordingly. You may only select one option. Please note that personal cars, including Ubers, lyfts, and other rideshare vehicles are not permitted. More detailed transportation information coming soon.

We encourage the submission of poster abstracts. Acceptable material includes work which has already been submitted or published, preliminary results and controversial findings… All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters, a few will be selected for short oral presentations or lightning talks. We do not intend to publish proceedings, only abstracts will be shared through an online repository. Our primary goal is to foster discussion!
